The Migrant Mental Health Hub

Who we are

The Migrant Mental Health Hub was established to address the unique mental health needs of people from migrant backgrounds in the UK. Our team comprises experienced clinical psychologists and community specialists passionate about promoting inclusive, evidence-based care. We believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support that respects their history, culture, and experiences.

Whether you’re an individual seeking support, a community of migrants looking to improve mental health and wellbeing or a service or organisation looking to strengthen your work with migrant communities, we are here to work with you in a supportive and collaborative way.

The Migrant Mental Health Hub

Our team

The Migrant Mental Health Hub team is led by Dr Ezinne (Zinny) Obi Oriaku. Zinny is a Clinical Psychologist and the founder of The Migrant Mental Health Hub CIC. She brings a thoughtful and compassionate approach to her work, shaped by years of experience across adult mental health, substance misuse, primary care mental health and neuropsychology. Alongside her clinical work in stroke rehabilitation and clinical health psychologist in the NHS, she is committed to supporting under-served and marginalised communities through both direct care and system level change.

Zinny is particularly interested in issues of equity, access, and how mental health care can be improved for those who often face additional barriers to support. Her work is guided by a deep curiosity about people’s lived experiences, and a commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive care. Over the years, she has developed specialist interests in neuropsychology, trauma sensitive care, faith and mental health, and the impact of race and identity within psychological services.

In addition to her clinical practice, Zinny is a mental health trainer, writer, and public speaker. She has contributed to work aimed at improving representation and equity within the profession, including previous involvement with the British Psychological Society’s Division of Clinical Psychology Minorities Sub-Committee. Her research interests include the mental health experiences of migrant communities in the UK, a focus that continues to shape her work today.

Through The Migrant Mental Health Hub, Zinny brings together her clinical expertise, community focus, and advocacy to support services, professionals, and communities working to improve mental health care for migrants
